Madurai - shopping

Ce matin je suis parti après l'aube pour découvrir les marchés aux fleurs et celui des fruits et légumes. Ils ne sont pas trop loin de l'hôtel ou je suis au nord de la ville et ont été re-localisés un peu en périphérie il y a quelques années car ils étaient au préalable au centre proche du temple et formaient un véritable Bazaar. Maintenant c'est un peu aseptisé et sans doute plus efficace pour les livraisons mais nettement moins charmant. Comme je suis arrivé tard, les fleurs étaient presque toutes parties mais bon, pour les fruits et légumes l'activité battait son plein et j'ai donc pu prendre un peu mon pied mais bon sans plus. Après mon petit déjeuner puis un peu de bain de soleil et de piscine à l'hôtel, je suis retourné au centre et j'ai trouvé un magasin de tissus pas trop mal et j'ai pu trouver mon bonheur pour les confections que je vais faire faire au Kerala (chemises, pantalons et shorts), ça me fait un bon poids de tissus à porter jusque la. Sinon je cherchais des Dhotties et pas grand chose mais je me suis rabattu sur des tshirts et une belle chemise. J'ai également découvert sur une des entrées du temple (porte est) les restes d'un Bazaar avec des couturiers de partout, des boutiques de bric et de broc... J'y rétournerais sans doute demain y faire quelques clichés une fois que j'aurais porter mon nouveau colis à la poste.

This morning I went to the flower market as well as the fruit and veg one which have been relocated in the north outskirts of the city for more convenience. These used to be in the city center, close to the temple and was like a big bazaar, but now it's lost that charm and so has the center of town, at least that is what I imagine. Anyhow When I got there the activity in the flower market was finishing as I did not try and get there too early, as for the fruit and veg part is was bustling with activity and was very p,radiant to walk through and do some shots. I then returned to my hotel for breakfast, a bit of a sun bathe and bathe in the pool as well, before returning to the center and the temple district to find some fabric for the clothes I want to have made when I settle a bit in Kerala. I also discovered what is left of the old bazaar which is on the east gate of the temple and is the concentration of open air tailors in an old part of the access to the temple. It's quite charming so I'll probably try and do some shots tomorrow but the light conditions are poor so I could be disappointed with the result. My main priority tomorrow is shipping some 5kg of books, clothes and some fabric I have bought in the last week.
