Gingee - Fortifications dans la montagne

Ce matin destination Gingee a 37 km pour y voir ce qui est décris dans les guides comme un décor sortit du seigneur des anneaux. En effet trois châteaux forts avec remparts disposés en triangle, au sommet des trois sommets à la périphérie de la ville de Gingee, un petit cours d'eau à son pied ou les locaux font leur défection matinale ce qui donne de l'engrais pour les nénuphars qui sont abondants. J'ai gravit une des collines et admiré la vue, mais je ne me sentais pas trop de monter en haut de la plus haute car au final, les restes archéologiques sont vraiment que des restes mais ce fut une belle excursion du matin et j'ai même été pris en camion-stop pour une partie du chemin de retour et eut de sympathiques échanges dans le bus de la deuxième partie du retour. Je dois maintenant poursuivre des achats de spiruline et autres produits 'mega food' provenant de Auroville et qui sont meilleur marché qua Paris pour compléter le colis que je vais faire partir avec des tissus que j'ai acheté et fait ourleté hier. Dans les prochains jours je vais retourner voir Ammayair et assister aux chants de l'Ashram et me la couler douce avant de reprendre la route sans doute dimanche. Sinon, le cyclone Thane est censé tougher la cote a 100km dici dans les prochaines here's, Le vent se lève et des pluies douces ont fait leur apparition.

This morning I headed to Gingee to see what is described in the guide books as a decor out of the Lord of the rings and yes the setting for the 3 forts is quite impressive. Each fort on a separate hill just outside the city of Gingee. The first fortified building and the lowest of the three is alongside a river and the banks is the scene of the morning toilet trip for the men of the village who drop their pants in unison. This is probably a good fertiliser as in the continuity of the water stream the water lilies thrive. The second fortified construction is set a top a medium size hill and I walked to the top to get a birds eye view of the site in its globality. The third and highest fortification I did not visit as it was very high and the buildings are ruins, but this excursion was a nice one and was the occasion to get a ride from a lorry driver on part of the return journey before finishing in the bus and some nice locals. I am now back in Tiruvannamalai and will enjoy the next few days just chilling and relaxing. The cyclone that was in Andamans at the beginning of the week will be hitting the coast in the next few hours and 100km away the wind is growing in intensity and the clouds are shedding some rain, who knows what will happen with this weather system in the next 24hrs but my lodging is on the first floor so no risk of flooding.
